Maraheb AlQallaf
Team lead- Speech Language Pathologist & Therapist
I am a licensed and qualified speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience specializing in pediatric communication and swallowing disorders. I began my academic journey at Emerson College in Boston, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2013. I furthered my expertise by completing a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from New York Medical College in 2015. Since 2017, I’ve held the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). I also obtained a Bilingual Extension Certificate from Columbia University in 2023. Currently, I am pursuing a second master’s in Healthcare Management at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, with plans to graduate in 2026.
My passion lies in working with bilingual children, diagnosing and treating speech and language challenges, and helping those with developmental delays, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also specialize in pediatric feeding and swallowing difficulties, stuttering, speech sound disorders, and voice disorders. Additionally, I bring expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), helping children find ways to express themselves effectively.
One of my guiding principles is to integrate global best practices and the latest research into my work to deliver exceptional care. Having trained and worked in the United States before returning to Kuwait, I bring a diverse and well-rounded perspective to my clinical approach.
What inspires me most about my profession is the individuality of each child I work with. Every child has their own unique personality and characteristics, which allows me to create tailored treatment plans. I firmly believe that every individual has skills and potential waiting to be unlocked. Through values like respect, compassion, empathy, and dedication, I strive to empower children and their families to overcome challenges and thrive.
When I’m not working, I enjoy baking, spending time with my cats, and exploring aerial fitness. These hobbies allow me to recharge and bring a fresh, creative energy to my work.
