What Is Women's Health Physiotherapy?
Women's health physiotherapy is a specialized area of physiotherapy focused on the pelvic floor, abdominal and musculoskeletal changes that occur during pregnancy and after childbirth. It combines pelvic floor assessment, manual therapy and individually prescribed exercise to treat conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain and diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation).

Do I need a referral from my gynecologist?
No. You can book a women's health physiotherapy assessment directly. We're happy to coordinate with your OB/GYN if you're already under their care.
Will I be seen by a female physiotherapist?
Yes. All women's health assessments and treatment at ARGAN Riaya are conducted privately by female physiotherapists.
When can I start physiotherapy after giving birth?
Many women begin around 4 weeks postpartum, though this varies by delivery type and individual recovery — your physiotherapist will advise what's right for you.
Is this only for women who have given birth?
No. We also treat pregnancy-related pain and pelvic pain at any life stage, whether or not you have children.
